Five highlights of schools around Midrand which made spectacular sports breakthroughs

MIDRAND – This has been a year of memorable moments for many schools and their sports team, as some made marks nationally and internationally.

Throughout the year the Midrand Reporter highlights impressive youngsters on the school pages. Here are some of the highlights:

  • Gymnasts stun in national competition

Sixteen gymnasts from the Midrand Primary School went to Cape Town to take part in the National Gymnastics Games at the University of Cape Town. Read more here.

Beulieu Preperatory School fininshed third at the South African National Equestrian Schools Association (Sanesa) League competition held at Misty Meadows. Read more here.

  • Rebonwe girls come back victorious

Rebonwe Primary School’s U15 girls soccer team emerged victorious during the Danone International Cup, which was held in Barcelona. Read more here.

Riversands Farm Village was alive with excitement and incredible energy filled the air as the runners and riders headed out to the 32Gi start arch for the 10th Beaulieu Challenge MTB and Trail Run. Read more here.
