Best wishes from Midrand CPF

MIDRAND – The Midrand Community Policing Forum share their year-end message.

The chairperson for the Midrand community policing forum Steven Johnstone shares their year-end message with the local community:

It has been a challenging year with crime and elections of new CPF but we have continued to remain resilient despite a tough environment, particularly in South Africa and Midrand.

Between all our partners in crime-fighting we have had many successes. That is a testament to the underlying strength of our SAPS, community policing forum, sector crime forum, security companies, emergency services and the Midrand community.

We look forward to working closely with the newly elected sector crime forum teams, recruiting more patrollers, getting the LPR (license plate recognition) camera system up and running, and most of all, ensuring our crime stats go down. We are super proud and thankful to our victim empowerment team who have assisted more people than in previous years, with debriefing, counselling and referrals.

As the Midrand CPF, we would like to take this opportunity to thank you for your support in 2019, and look forward to working with you in 2020. Be safe and vigilant on the roads, take time out with your families, and remember those who have lost loved ones, as well as those less fortunate. Best wishes and prosperous 2020.
