NATHAN REDDY: I am definitely taking part in Black Friday. There will be a lot of deals on the day so I think it's a good opportunity to get some things for myself and family.
In anticipation of the big day, the Midrand Reporter asked locals their thoughts on Black Friday and if they would participate. Here’s what they had to say…
TSHIDISO TSHABALALA: I think the day is a great way to finish up stock for businesses. But I’m not really the type of person to camp outside of a store for anything.LINDE LUCAS: Everyone is really looking forward to the day. It’s one day in the year where it’s bargains galore. I will be looking out for a logical purchase but at the moment I don’t need anything from the day.HANNELIE CRAUSE: I think Black Friday is nice if people have the money to spend. If you’ve saved and prepared financially for it and you have something you want then get. But I won’t be participating.JASON RAMBEROSE: I think Black Friday is cool. It’s a great idea for businesses taking part. I might be on the lookout for AirPods but if I don’t find a deal I like I might not take part.
