The Summerhill Preparatory School and College expressed pride in Grade 6 learner and gymnast Uzayr Paruk for winning gold at the South African Gym Games.
Uzayr took part in the Gym Games with his partner Blake Peterson in the U14 mixed -air category.
Spokesperson for the school Teressa Oates said that Uzayr has had a busy year, taking part in club competitions hosted by Gymfinity and winning two golds in May.
Following impressive performances at the district and provincial championship, Blake and Peterson made it the South African Gym Games in September winning the gold medal in their category.
