HALFWAY HOUSE – Halfway House Primary School received some gifts following a performance at FNB Stadium.

The drum majorettes at Halfway House Primary School were given a token of appreciation following a successful performance at FNB Stadium on 12 October.

The team played a show at the match up between Kaizer Chiefs and Mamelodi Sundowns for the Shell Helix Ultra Cup. They were invited by tournament sponsor HKA Global and performed their routine to the soccer fans on the day.

Deputy principal of the school Pam Eagar said that the drum majorettes, also known as drummies, have been in operation for five years with this year seeing great success including placing second overall at The South African Majorette and Cheerleading Association National Championship in July.

She added, “The team has definitely grown. It started as a small team, taking part in the small competitions. We are very proud. Our kids absolutely love it and we’ve seen some amazing involvement from parents.”
