Joburg EMS gives back

IVORY PARK – The City of Johannesburg Emergency Services handed out much-needed essentials to the learners of Kanana Primary School.


The City of Johannesburg Emergency Services gave back to the learners at Kanana Primary School on 17 September.

Media liason officer for the Emergency Services Robert Mulaudzi said that as part of their social responsibility initiative, they handed over 730 packs to the Grade 6 and 7 of the school.

He said all the learners received toothbrushes and washcloths while the packs for girls also included sanitary pads – which are important in keeping the girls in school during their menstruation and restoring their dignity.

“Many of our female students have to leave school during their menstruation and miss vital schooling.

“We’d like to thank the City of Johannesburg for this donation in helping our students.”
