Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng addresses claims of corruption within the Judiciary

MIDRAND – Chief Justice Mogeong Mogoeng said that all allegations against the judiciary must be dealt with.

Chief Justice Mogoeng Mogoeng is with the heads of court, Judge President Dunstan Mlambo and Judge President Cagney Musi.

The Chief Justice added that most of these allegations are made towards women in the judiciary, which is alarming because of the scope of events which have been going on in the country at the moment.

“Those who attack judges must be dealt with and face criminal charges because no judge would want to be defamed,” said the Chief Justice. He also said that they are working with the police and are hoping they find these people using social media to accuse people in the judiciary.

Chief Justice Mogoeng said, “It is one privilege to be Chief Justice of this great country, I’m here together with my colleagues to reiterate what I have said many times before, virtually all measures necessary to secure our fierce independence have been put in place.”

The briefing is still in progress and this story will be updated once more information becomes available.
