[VIDEO] Truck overturns on N1 North at Allandale Road off-ramp
MIDRAND – The accident caused huge delays in both directions, traffic is flowing, authorities are still on the scene.
A truck carrying a load of eggs lost control and overturned leaving two people injured on the N1 North at Allandale Road off-ramp early this morning, 4 September.
Emer-G-Med paramedics were first on the scene, paramedic Thabang Selbela said they found the truck had overturned and two patients were transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
He added that Metro police and local police were on the scene to do further investigations.
Spokesperson for the Metro police Superintendent Wayne Minnaar said officers are still assessing the scene and more information will be given at a later stage.
The accident caused huge traffic delays and congestion, Midrand CPF member Jacqui Von Loggenburg told the Midrand Reporter, however, she added that traffic was flowing in both directions and many local authorities were on scene.
