28-year-old shop owner shot and killed in Rabie Ridge

RABIE RIDGE – The motive behind the shooting is still unclear as police continue to investigate.


Constable Jacob Nhlongo of the Rabie Ridge Police Station has confirmed that a local shop owner was shot and killed at his business premises today, 27 June. 

It is understood that the suspect, posing as a shopper, entered the store and allegedly opened fire before fleeing the scene.

At this point, the motive is unclear and no arrests have been made.

“We urge the community to come forward with any information that can lead to the arrest of the suspect,” said Nhlongo.
