VLEI – All hands were on deck as the Midrand SPCA tried to find what was reported as two stray dogs in Vlei for a whole week.

Midrand SPCA has given the Midrand community an update on two stray dogs that went missing in Vlei, Midrand after a search that lasted seven days.

They posted on Facebook, “[An entire team of inspectors and half their kennel staff] drove up and down four to five times a day, setting traps, walking for hours and hours, crawling through the bushes and climbing up steep embankments, tearing our clothes, scraped by thorn bushes and covered in painful blackjacks.”

They managed to catch the dogs and located the dog’s owners, however, the dogs are still in the care of the SPCA.

Midrand SPCA thanked those who assisted to catch the dogs, “It’s been a rough week, but we are proud of you and thank you for not giving up.”
