MIDRAND – The Midrand Cricket Club is calling for new players and staff.


The Midrand Cricket Club is calling on the local community to come and join their club as players and members.

Following the end of the official cricket season, the club is looking to expand and invites interested youngsters to join their ranks. The chairperson of the club Tshoko Moloko said the club is looking to grow their junior sides and in the new season will have one U8 side and two U10 sides.

He added, “To gear up for the new season and build these sides, we will be going around to schools in Ivory Park and Midrand to find interested players.

“We will also host a few small cricket festivals over the winter.”

The club is also looking for parents or older residents interested in joining the club’s operational structure.

They need coaches, scorers and umpires that they will put through training to assist the club.

The new season will start in September this year, but training sessions will begin officially in June. Any interested residents can contact the club at midrandcricketclub@gmail.com or on 072 908 8701.
