Armed robbery leaves man critically injured

OLIEVENHOUTBOSCH – The man received treatment for his injuries and advanced life support interventions and was then transported to hospital for urgent treatment.


A 26-year-old man who was shot yesterday, 26 March, in Olievenhoutbosch was left critically injured.

According to a statement released by ER24, the emergency service’s paramedics arrived at the scene at 9.55am.

“On closer inspection, paramedics found the man lying on the pavement surrounded by numerous bystanders,” read the statement.

The paramedics assessed the man and found that he had sustained gunshot wound to his arm and leg.

The unknown man was treated for his injuries and provided with advanced life support interventions. He was then transported to Kalafong Provincial Hospital for urgent treatment.

Local authorities were present at the scene and are investigating a case of armed robbery.
