Collision leaves two injured and two dead in Midrand

MIDRAND – Two people have reportedly died and another two injured following a crash on Allandale Road going to Midrand.


A collision between an SUV and a light motor vehicle has resulted in passing of two people and left two injured.

According to a statement released by Shawn Herbst, Media Liaison Officer for Netcare 911, “At 12.04pm Saturday afternoon, Netcare 911 responded to reports of a collision on Allandale Road in Kempton Park direction Midrand”.

Reports from the accident scene show that a light motor vehicle and an SUV were involved in a collision. The SUV then rolled several times.

Jaws of Life were then used by the Fire and Rescue Services to free the occupants from the SUV.

“Sadly an adult male and female from the SUV sustained fatal injuries and were declared deceased at the scene,” read the statement.

Two adult male occupants from the light motor vehicle sustained moderate injuries and once treated were transported by ambulance to the hospital for further treatment.

The police, fire and rescue services and Netcare emergency services were present at the scene.
