Joburg water encounters a few challenges during Noordwyk water outage
NOORDWYK – Joburg Water encountered a few challenges during the repairs on 5 March but worked overnight to restore water in the Noordwyk area.
Johannesburg Water initated a planned water outage on 5 March in the Noordwyk area, which started from 7am to 7pm and encountered a few problems during restoration.
The planned water outage was to replace the water pipes in the area. Ward 112 councillor Madeleine Hicklin said, “Joburg Water was amazing, they worked late into the evening, water was fully restored on 6 March.”
Hicklin said the only issue they had was that the pipes were not properly flushed out which resulted in dark murky water coming out in some areas, however, ‘Joburg water will send out officials to test out the water’ adding that they hope the problem will be sorted as soon as possible.
If any residents have complaints due to this, please send an SMS to the councillor on 082 744 5155 or email, ward112jhb@gmail.com
