Young girl seriously injured after she was knocked down by vehicle in Olievenhoutbosch

A young girl sustained serious injuries after she was knocked over by a vehicle on the R55 in Olievenhoutbosch yesterday afternoon, 16 February.

A statement issued by ER24 spokesperson, Ineke van Huyssteen, read, “When ER24 paramedics arrived at the scene shortly after 3.30pm, they found the girl lying in the road. She was found to have sustained serious injuries.”

Van Huyssteen added that paramedics treated the girl on the scene before she was airlifted to hospital by the ER24 Oneplan Medical Helicopter.

“The exact circumstances surrounding the incident weren’t known to our paramedics. Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.”
