A house in Blue Hills was burgled while the owners were away and the owner’s children discovered the theft when checking on the property.
Two firearms (a black and silver revolver and a Glock) were stolen, along with a box of revolver ammunition, two bicycles and a laptop were taken totalling about R300 000. A case of housebreaking and theft was reported on 9 August.
Meanwhile, in Glenferness, a resident on Chattan Road woke up at about 3am to discover that her house had been broken into. Her kettle, toaster, some food and a cellphone power bank had been stolen – all worth about R20 000. She also noticed that her microwave was outside near her property fence. A case of housebreaking and theft was reported on 12 August.
