New project for the Midrand SPCA

MIDRAND – Midrand SPCA went golfing in aid of a bio-mite tank and borehole.

Midrand SPCA had a great time on their golf day held on 15 August in aid of a new bio-mite tank and borehole.

This project was driven over the past three years by the Fury Motor Group. The Midrand SPCA has never had a proper, fully functional sewerage system and after years of planning, a solution has finally been found.

“The project costs in excess of R300 000, but would ultimately assist the SPCA to reduce the water bills [which is in the region of R7 000 per month], build proper kennels and runs for the dogs and ultimately help more animals,” said Brenda Lucas from the Midrand SPCA.

She said, “The Midrand SPCA wishes to thank all the motor dealers that have participated in this event as well as all the waterhole and prize sponsors.

“A very special thank you to Sally Spada from Pebble Moon Wellness Studio and Bernard Blom from Fury Mazda Midrand for arranging the golf day and to the Fury Motor group that has made a substantial donation towards this project.

“A big thank you is also extended to Byron Nirham, who is the architect of this project and has done all the work free of charge.

“We have not yet raised the full amount required and any donations towards this project would be greatly appreciated. All donations are tax deductible and a tax exemption certificate may be issued upon request.”
