Tsepiso Malatji (26) and Zebron Simelane (18) were arrested by the Midrand police on 29 July in Randjesfontein after they were found in possession of a suspected stolen item.
Midrand Police Station acting spokesperson Constable Thabiso Selowa said officers of ADT security allegedly caught the two men stealing part of a company’s palisade fence. “The men had already managed to load up a portion of the fence before they were caught pushing it on a trolley,” she alleged.
The security personnel apprehended the men and immediately contacted the police for assistance.
The men appeared in the Midrand Magistrates’ Court on 30 July and were expected to appear again on 7 August.
