Midrand High rugby doing well in the season

MIDRAND – The Midrand Knights remain unbeaten in four games.

Midrand High School Rugby teams have been doing well since the Verseker Beeker School Rugby season started last month.

“All of Midrand High School rugby teams have shown great strength and resilience over the past few games,” said sports administrator at the school, Kwazi Shangase.

The U19 first team known as Midrand Knights remain unbeaten in the four games they have played. The U16 team, the Stallions, have lost one match so far and are looking to play for a place in the semi-finals.

“We want all our teams to play in the semi-finals. The Bullfrogs, our legendary U14 boys, have had to play some hard games over the last few games. They have [only] one win under their belt due to a walkover game.

“Midrand High School is in my books the leading school in our community when it comes to sports development and cultivation. This year we are looking at getting all our sports codes participating at the highest level from netball to volleyball.”
