Golden Knights Soccer Academy needs a new home

MIDRAND – The aim of the coaching clinics is to equip the young boys with the necessary skills.

Fast-growing Midrand-based Golden Knights Soccer Academy is looking for a school to adopt and host coaching clinics which they plan to start soon.

The academy has attracted many young boys from schools in and around Midrand. Its founder, Katleho Ntsekhe, said the aim of the coaching clinic was to equip the young boys with the necessary skills to also contribute and implement at their respective schools.

“We are looking for a school to call home for games and practices. We want to do it with the idea of working together with the school to create a soccer programme that will benefit the children,” he said.

Ntsekhe said the academy has very ambitious but realistic goals. “As a soccer academy, we want to offer children the opportunity to learn important life lessons, have fun and to form a brotherhood that will last a lifetime as they all embark on a journey to achieve their dreams.”

He added that they seek to instil values of respect and honour for all members, staff and players. “The vision of the soccer academy is for players to forge a bond for the love of soccer and the academy that will last a lifetime. Midrand is developing rapidly as a suburb, this development is very important for our community as it brings in investment and helps the community grow.”

However, he said the rapid increase in population has brought negative elements such as drugs and crime into the community. “It is our responsibility as a community to create facilities and activities that keep our youth away from these negative elements.”
