Become a police informer in Midrand

MIDRAND – Station commander Brigadier Tsotsotso is encouraging community members to apply to be informers.

Midrand Police Station commander Brigadier David Tsotsotso is appealing to the community to apply to become police informers.

If the application is accepted, the person will be registered as a police informer and trained to conduct their work without risking their safety and the safety of others.

An informer is someone who works with the police and provides relevant information to the police about secret criminal activities.

Informers will receive incentives as a form of payment if the information they provide in an investigation leads to the eventual arrest of a suspect.

“Informers will never be required nor requested to testify in court and they will all at times remain anonymous because their identity will never be revealed,” said Tsotsotso.

The station commander has been the voice against crime since he joined the Midrand community and this is one of many methods used in the fight against crime.

Details: Midrand Police Station Commander Brigadier David Tsotsotso 082 828 6032 or 011 347 1600/26.
