Epilepsy awareness turns into a success in Ivory Park
IVORY PARK – Epilepsy Awareness SA held a successful presentation at the Lord Khanyile Hall in Ivory Park.
Epilepsy Awareness SA held its roadshow on 15 July at Lord Khanyile Community Hall in Ivory Park to raise awareness about the disease.
Campaign organiser for Epilepsy Awareness SA, Tania van Heerden said the event attracted about 100 people and was a success. “Bathabeleng Home, an orphanage from the area walked 5km to the hall dressed in Epilepsy Awareness SA T-shirts and carried purple umbrellas.”
“Their intention was to show the community what they were doing and where they were going,” said Van Heerden.
She added that the elderly people were impressed with the main speaker, Ditto Ntuli ka Zungu, for her informative talk and her bravery to explain her own personal journey.
“Medi Response paramedics came out to do a talk and demonstration.” Progression transformation enablers also attended the road show and inspired the community with a presentation.
