Tree Tops Montessori Preschool holds sports day at Halfway House Primary

MIDRAND – The children participated in various races and team building activities.

Tree Tops Montessori Preschool held a sports day for their children at Halfway House Primary.

The preschool’s principal Jenny de Kock said the sports event was aimed at ensuring that the children have fun and it was not about winning or losing because every child received a medal for participating. The children participated in various races and team building activities.

“Sport days are a way of preparing the children for primary school and helping the children integrate well in the primary school sports activities when they leave preschool,” she said.

The parents were excited to see their little ones having fun with other children and cheered them on. It was cold in the morning and there was coffee, tea and hotdogs provided for the parents and children throughout the day.

“I would like to thank all the parents that came to support their children on the day. Family support means a lot to a child and contributes to their development.”
