Nissan SA Outdoor Grand Prix coming up

MIDRAND – The Nissan Easter Festival brings the prestigious Nissan SA Outdoor Grand Prix and you're invited ...

The Nissan Easter Festival is one of South Africa’s premier equestrian events which is set to bring competitors from all over Africa together on 17 April to compete in dressage, equitation and showjumping.

The show, held at Kyalami Equestrian Park, will climax with the prestigious Nissan SA Outdoor Grand Prix.

Kyalami Estate resident and showjumper, Nicole Horwood (44), is one of the fan favourites who has her eye on the Grand Prix prize, having previously won the tournament in 2012 and 2014.

Nicole Horwood won the Nissan SA Outdoor Grand Prix 2014.

Horwood is a Pam Golding estate agent and a mother of two.

“Horseriding is a hobby for me and I enjoy the SA Outdoor Grand Prix because the Nissan Easter Festival is the biggest event of the year and draws crowds from all over the world,” said Horwood.

Capital Stud sponsors Horwood’s horses, while other expenses such as entry fees and travel costs are sponsored by Mark White Nissan.

Horwood will use the pre-Easter Show at Kyalami Park Club from 8 to 16 April as preparation for the Grand Prix.

The festival is a family event and caters to all age groups and genders. Games such as an Easter hunt and a dog show will be offered as entertainment on the day and community members are encouraged to attend.
