12 injured in head-on collision

BLUE HILLS - An accident, which occurred at about 12pm this afternoon has left 12 people injured.

Max Cohen of EMER-G-MED said the emergency service dispatched multiple resources to reports of a head-on collision on the R55 near Tambotie, in Blue Hills.

“On arrival paramedics found that a taxi and a bakkie had been involved, both carrying a number of passengers. It’s alleged that the collision occurred after the bakkie’s driver lost control and rolled his vehicle, the taxi then crashed into the rolling bakkie,” Cohen explained.
