Scam warning – all voters to vote on 3 August

JOHANNESBURG - All eligible voters may vote on 3 August regardless of political party.

Voters should be aware that claims that voting will take place on different days for individual political parties are untrue.

IEC South Africa tweeted on 29 July: “Scam alert: Claims that voting to be held on different days for different parties are completely untrue. All voting on 3 August 7am–7pm.”

All eligible voters may vote in the 2016 Municipal Elections on 3 August from 7am to 7pm at their correct voting stations, regardless of political party. Voters should also be aware that 3 August has been declared a public holiday in order to allow for all eligible voters to cast their votes.
