Critically injured patient airlifted from Mnandi Road in Midrand

MIDRAND - A man is in a critical condition following a side impact collision between two vehicles on Mnandi Road in Midrand.

 

Media Liaison Officer for Netcare 911, Athlenda Mathe, said, “Paramedics stabilised the injured man on the scene. The critically injured man was airlifted to hospital for further medical care while another seriously injured person was transported by the other emergency service provider to hospital.”

On 24 January a pedestrian was critically injured after being hit by a vehicle on the same road. According to reports the man was crossing the road when he was struck by the car. Paramedics arrived on scene and treated the injured man. After stabilising him, paramedics airlifted the critically injured man to hospital for further medical care and another seriously injured person was also taken to hospital.

Netcare 911 added that exact details of the accidents will be investigated by police.
