George Ezra hits SA shores

JOBURG – You’ve sung along to his hits Budapest and Blame It On Me, now you can hear the smooth voice of George Ezra live as he comes to South Africa for the first time.

The 22-year-old singer-songwriter from the UK, made headlines when his debut album Wanted On Voyage hit one million UK sales only 11 months after it’s release. Now this star will take the stage with some of Jozi’s hottest local bands.

Ezra told OfficialCharts.com that selling a million albums almost doesn’t feel real. “I don’t actually think I’ve ever seen a million of anything,” he said.

“Thank you so much to anyone who has bought the album and has enjoyed it.”

Guests attending the Jozi leg of his tour will be wowed by Freshlyground, BCUC and Bongeziwe Mabandla before Ezra takes the stage.

Ezra will perform on the Festival Lawns at Carnival City on 30 August.
