Constable Matome Tlamela, head of communications at the station, said the police arrested the 31-year-old man at about 10.20pm on 5 April.
She said police were patrolling the area when they suddenly came across the man carrying a wooden door and corrugated iron. They asked him to produce a proof of purchase and he failed to do so.
“He also failed to give a satisfactory answer as to where he got the items,” said Tlamela.
The man was immediately arrested.
“The man will appear in court facing charges of possession of suspected stolen property,” she said.
