Changing young lives through technology

DIEPSLOOT - The Midrand-based non-profit organisation Change the World Trust is aiming to change the world one click at a time.

Change the World Trust is a dynamic organisation that specialises in delivering educational projects related to information technology (IT) training for disadvantaged youth.

Launched in 2009 as a vehicle for various highly-productive social projects, they have since become a leading organisation in skills development and training with a reputation for effective and innovative project implementation and design.

The organisation already runs IT programmes in Midrand, Diepsloot and Zandspruit but is now increasing their reach by including Cosmo City.

They are offering 50 IT scholarships for PC Basics and an IT Technician course which is internationally accredited.

Natalie Emery of the organisation encouraged young people who are unemployed to apply for a scholarship at one of the Trust’s training centres in Midrand, Diepsloot or Zandspruit. Candidates must be between the ages of 15 and 25, have a passion for IT and have a strong motivation to learn and improve themselves.

Additional training iwill include workplace preparation, practical applications and job search guidance and coaching. Top students will also get an opportunity to do internships at the Trust’s IT centres and further their knowledge of the industry.

To continue impacting more lives and communities Change the World Trust needs the public’s support and welcomes both volunteers and sponsors.
