Resident clarifies a few things

A concerned Midrand resident, having read an article in the issue of the week ending 7 November decided to clarify a few points in the article.

I read the article titled Pre-primary school versus neighbour. My child attends the Valley Pre-primary School.

The school opens at 7am and not earlier as stated by Mike Pinchevsky in the article. There is no loud siren that rings. It is a fairly small school and there is no need for a siren to alert the children that they have to go to class.

The children have structured lessons throughout the day (between 8am and 1:15pm) and the noise level can only be heard if one is within the school property. If there was a high noise level, this would not be conducive to the children’s education and learning.

The school has rabbits and a tortoise on the school property. These are quiet animals and are enclosed within the school property. They do not cause any harm or pose any threat.

Mrs Rogerson runs an impeccable school that is much needed in the area. I commend her on her commitment to providing outstanding education to our children.
