Riding to make dreams come true

JOBURG - Reach For A Dream has once again formed the Nedbank Dream Riders team to participate in the Momentum 947 Cycle Challenge on 16 November.

Starting in Riversands, the Nedbank Dream Riders will undertake the 94.7km challenge through Johannesburg and back to Riversands. The Nedbank Dream Riders team, who will ride for a purpose in association with the Reach For A Dream Foundation, are made up of 422 riders at the moment and aim to have a team of 500 or more by 16 November.

Bronwyn Feldwick-Davis, communications manager of the Reach For a Dream Foundation said, “At Reach For A Dream we aim to fulfil the dreams of the children with chronic and life threatening illnesses to keep them inspired and motivated to keep fighting to live, and to keep them laughing.”

Peet Balfour, a Dream Rider from previous years expressed his excitement for this years’ race due to the fact that his family would be riding with him for the first time. Zikita (8), Caitlyn (7) and Phillip (14) will be riding alongside their parents and have made every effort to raise their R1 200 for the Reach For A Dream Foundation by gaining the full support of their school peers.

The Dream Riders’ goal is to include 500 riders in their own team, but all of the public is open to enter on their own or as part of another team.
