Biz Mix gets into serious business

MIDRAND - The event was organised by business coaching firm, Action Coach. On 30 September, the two businessmen spoke in their capacity as business coaches from the firm.

Although a wide spectrum of businesses from Midrand were in attendance, Odegard said, “All businesses are the same.

“This is because they all require the same system for growth. Getting more leads, converting those leads into customers, getting customers to make bigger purchases at higher prices, getting them to buy more often, and getting more sales at higher profit margins.

“If you increase all of those factors by just 10 percent, you will increase your turnover by 46 percent and your bottom line profit by 61 percent.”

Odegard addressed the issue, as it was one of the most pressing the attendees wanted to be dealt with. They wanted to know how to increase profit in their respective businesses.

“This was one of the business strategies that business owners wanted to know since it was agreed that the ‘tough times’ have descended on the South Africa’s small and medium business sector and will most likely stay that way for the next three to five years,” said Al Karaki from the Midrand Forum, the hosts of the event.

The forum hosts monthly networking sessions in partnership with Mix 93.8 FM.

The next session is scheduled for 29 October and is aimed at bringing small business owners into the digital age to promote their products.
