Midrand High School is all grown up

MIDRAND - Midrand High School will celebrate its 21 years in existence and they'll be doing it over a period of four days.

All events will be held on the school’s grounds.

On 24 September (Heritage Day) at 1pm parents and past pupils are invited to an open fire cooking/braai day competition. Entry is R200 per team (no more than four members per team). They are also looking for someone with culinary experience to judge the competition.

On 25 September there will be a Golden Oldies Meals theme. The school has asked for the Midrand community businesses to assist them by sponsoring food or gifts for senior citizens in the community.

A Sports and Market Day will be held on the 27 September from 8am to 1pm and teams are invited to play volleyball, netball, soccer, rugby and cricket.

While the sports day is underway, parents and community members are being offered an enterprise opportunity. They may set up stalls where they can sell items such as food. These are available at R200 and all profits made are yours to keep.

The final day of the festivities is on 28 September. At 10am to 12pm an interdenominational and cross-religious thanksgiving service will be held on the school’s pavilion stands.
