The 29-year-old woman was found dead on the morning of 22 September by residents who had heard the couple arguing.
Rabie Ridge police spokesperson Constable Jacob Nhlongo said, “A witness told police that the couple fought for a long time then suddenly there was silence. Someone went to check on the couple and discovered the body of the woman. The man had fled the scene.”
He said the suspect was out on bail for another murder case. “A warrant of arrest will be issued this morning. The suspect is well-known in the community, we hope someone with information of his whereabouts will contact police.”
