Imposters pose as horse foood suppliers
KYALAMI - A security notice was posted on the Beaulieu Estate Facebook group claiming that in the past two weeks there had been security breaches in the Kyalami, Glenferness and Sun Valley areas.
Apparently occupants of a white Toyota Conquest or Corolla, claimed that they were from Midfeeds, a horse food supplier based in Blue Hills, and were there to deliver food for horses.
Midfeeds has since distanced itself from the incident and warned residents that they only deliver with their branded trucks and bakkie, and that all deliveries are made by staff wearing their branded uniform.
“The police are unaware of the information concerning this, but the sector van will be deployed to conduct further patrols to be on the outlook for it,” said Midrand police’s Constable Nanty Belebesi.
Residents are also urged to notify the police and Midfeeds if they have further information.
