Protet yourself – lock your doors

Rabie Ridge police spokesperson, Constable Jacob Nhlongo said,” Constable Mzamane Xirinda is pleading with the community of Mayibuye and Austin View to lock their houses and cars. There have been many thefts from unlocked vehicles and homes in the area.”

He said adults who send their children to lock doors before they sleep were not being responsible as children would not properly check if doors were locked. He stressed that it was up to adults to ensure the safety of people inside their homes and the safety of vehicles parked in the yard.

“Criminals may know your movements and schedule, so be vigilant at all times,” Nhlongo added.
