Medical experts come to Midrand
MIDRAND - The fourth edition of the Africa Health Exhibition and Congress at Gallagher Convention Centre promises to be a robust gathering of healthcare professionals and medical experts from around the world.
Delegates will engage in extensive discussions, debates and networking from 29 to 31 May. Dubbed as the continent’s premier medical showcase, the event, which is hosted by Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions, comprises a three-day conference and exhibition featuring the latest medical innovations from 400 local and international exhibitors.
Managing director of Informa Life Sciences Exhibitions, Simon Page said, “Africa Health 2014 will no doubt demonstrate that the healthcare sector in South Africa and the surrounding region is going from strength to strength. It has been our mission to create a global event that allows healthcare professionals to exchange knowledge, network, learn, share experiences, and zone in on issues applicable to their profession and trade.”
He said a training village was introduced to the event, and would consist of a designated area where top specialists in the healthcare sector would run hands-on training sessions on the most state-of-the-art devices and technology. Page said 5 000 attendees were expected and more than 100 papers would be presented by a wide range of international medical experts.
“The event not only seeks to focus on healthcare matters, but also seeks to plough back to the local community by donating all proceeds from registrations for the 14
conferences to a local charity,” said Page.
