Cedarwood School learners return to school for the second term

As the learners set their next set of goals for this term, they were asked to reflect back on their highlights of the first term.

Cedarwood School learners returned to school on May 3 after the holiday break to begin their term two lessons.

There were a lot of smiles and energy in the air as learners made their way into the school, looking ready to take on their studies.

As the learners set their goals for this term, they were asked to reflect on their highlights of the first term.

Grade 7 learner Nicholas Manicom said his greatest highlight in term one was travelling to Gold Reef City and exploring the bird park.

Cedarwood School learner Nicholas Manicom, teacher Tshepo Mokgatle, and learner Mukona Mmbara are excited to be back in school for term two.

“My goal for term two is to pass all my assessments in June,” said Nicholas.

Another learner, Sidney Zuma who is doing Grade 8 said term one was exciting for him.

“What I loved most in term one was making new friends, meeting new learners, and meeting the different teachers who will teach me. My goal for term two is to improve my marks and enjoy the term ahead,” said Sidney.

A teacher at the school Tshepo Mokgatle said they hit the ground running this term with only four weeks of contact teaching time as they start examinations at the end of May.

“Wishing all our learners the best for the term ahead as we reinforce our motto in the classroom and extramural activities: ‘Be the best that you can be’,” concluded Mokgatle.
