DeeJay TheBoyNelo is the new Campus DJ for IIE’s Varsity College Waterfall

Many opportunities will be presented to the Campus DJ who will also enjoy opportunities such as hosting parties with well-known DeeJays.

Sibonelo -Sibusiso Lukhele, aka DeeJay TheBoyNelo won the recent battle of the DeeJay’s and claimed the title Campus DJ for the IIE’s Varsity College Waterfall.

This head-to-head challenge on March 9 was a ‘battle’ as winners DeeJay TheBoyNelo, DeeJay Detoxic 015 who scoped second place, and three other students DeeJay mashed it up with the latest and greatest music hits.

Other campus students made the ultimate decision via cheer voting for the winners and Lukhele had the most cheers.

“It is still an unreal feeling mainly because this is the first-ever DJing competition I have participated in,” said Lukhele who is doing his second-year IIE Bachelor of Computer and Information Sciences in Application Development.

“I am very excited about being the Campus DJ and aim to set the standard for years to come while creating a name for myself as I gain more skills in the DJing industry. I started DJing a little over a year ago after I discovered a passion for music.”

Every year The IIE’s Varsity College Waterfall hosts this contest to obtain a campus DeeJay who, after winning DeeJays during on and off-campus social events such as Meridian Hours, Night Markets, and Year-end Parties.

Many opportunities will be presented to the Campus DJ who will also enjoy opportunities such as hosting parties with well-known DeeJays.
