Ward 132 councillor Annette Deppe bestowed with long service award by the DA

Deppe extended her gratitude to the DA and residents for helping make her job bearable.

Ward 132 councillor Annette Deppe has been bestowed with a long service award by the Democratic Alliance (DA).

This comes in recognition of her 16 years of outstanding service and dedication to the call of duty to serve the residents and her continued efforts to build democracy.

Despite the unfinished projects in Ward 132 that had been problematic for residents, Deppe has worked tirelessly to ensure service delivery. Even the regional director for Region A, Abigail Ndlovu, admitted last year that Deppe would call her daily last year to attend to the issues.

Deppe extended her gratitude to the DA and residents for helping make her job bearable.

“The DA machine is strong and supports us as councillors to do the work we need to do to grow the party. But it also doesn’t work without your [residents’] individual input, dedication, and strength. As a councillor, I will constantly be forward-thinking, looking at the bigger picture, and sticking to the party’s morals, principles, and values. I hope the residents can continue to play their part in noticing issues to make the work simpler,” said Deppe.

She said her voters and some residents had been amazing, supportive and understanding of the current political terrain.

“It has not always been easy to understand for voters when the City [changes] from one political leader to another. But my voters have always known that no matter what happens I put them first.”
