Indlovu FC coach praises hard work ahead of SAB league

Optimistic Indlovu FC coach Thato Legodi believes they will work hard to retain their status in the SAB league.

Newly crowned Midrand Local Football Association (MLFA) champions Indlovu FC coach Thato Legodi has heaped praise on his players.

The team will now play in the SAB league which is a regional competition.

Legodi said he was proud and excited about his achievements and the prospects of playing in another league to try improve his coaching skills while learning. “I really have no words to explain my happiness about winning the league.
“But I must say, when I assembled and built the team, it was meant to win the SAB and that’s why we won the MLFA and were consistent.”

He said he won the league with players who had been rejected by professional teams.

The optimistic coach said he was going to make a few tweaks to his squad and hopefully qualify for the SAB playoffs which can propel them to ABC Motsepe League – a third tier of South African professional league.

“The vision now is to create a team that will be competitive in the ABC Motsepe League. I can assure you that this team will aim to finish inside the top five in order to retain our status in the SAB league.”

MLFA chairperson Sthembiso Buthelezi congratulated the team and confirmed they were going to get a guard of honour. “I wish them well on their journey and I hope they will represent us well.
“I would also like to thank the entire community of Midrand for their support on Saturday as the stadium was packed.”

Indlovu will be handed the trophy after their last game against Chloorkop Eagles on July 17.
