Motorcycle rider sustains fatal injuries after a collision
One person died when a motorcycle and station wagon collided on the N1 south in Midrand,
A motorcycle rider sustained fatal injuries on the N1 South between Olifantsfontein and New roads in Midrand on May 25.
According to the spokesperson of Johannesburg Metropolitan Police Department Xolani Fihla, it is alleged that a BMW motorcycle collided with the rear of a Mercedes Benz station wagon while the vehicles were travelling south on the N1.
“The rider of the motorcycle sustained fatal injuries and was taken to Hillbrow Mortuary. The driver of the station wagon sustained no injuries,” he said.
A case of culpable homicide has been opened at Midrand Police Station for further investigation.
