VVRA invites sponsors and supporters to major clean-up and beautification

VORNA VALLEY – The clean-up will start at Harry Galaun Drive and Albertyn Street.

The Vorna Valley Residents Association has called on sponsors and supporters to join their first major community clean-up and beautification taking place on February 19.

The association’s executive committee said the event would start at 9:00. The focus point will be the intersection of Harry Galaun Drive and Albertyn Street, and will extend outwards from there.

“We would greatly appreciate your attendance. Gazebos are most welcome. We would like to appeal for some gloves, caps, tools, or anything to assist with this project. If you have a brush cutter and operator or anything similar, it would be of great help. We would also like to do a raffle/ prize for participants, if you could help with any sponsorship in this regard it would be much appreciated,” said the executive committee.

The committee said it attempted to include all the relevant role players in this project. The aim was to build a community in Vorna Valley that was proud of its surroundings and was inclusive. “Due to the diversity in our neighbourhood, we humbly request that no political or religious paraphernalia is worn or displayed.”
