THABISO TELEKOA, ECONOMIC FREEDOM FIGHTERS: I am the EFF chairperson in Midrand, I have been in Information Technology for 18 years, I used to head a department for a company in Randburg. I am a community person and I believe in the emancipation of those who are marginalised so hence I decided to join politics.
I think issues we face are first, crime, it seems no one wants to take a stance and prevent crime rather than reporting it. As EFF we are looking to work with police officials to identify
ANDRE BRINK, THE ORGANIC HUMANITY MOVEMENT: I have been involved in my community for quite a while. I have done and participated in a variety of projects such as the Hammerkop Bird Sanctuary, building a bird hide, and making it more accessible to the local public.
Being part of the ratepayers association. I chaired the local drug action committee.
I have treated and started free clinics within the greater Johannesburg area, Cape Town and the Eastern Cape, and Kwazulu-Natal.
Identified problems
KHONZI BUTHELEZI, ACTION SA: I am a single mother I have moved from South of Johannesburg (Mordor) to Midrand In 2015 I have two grandchildren
I will be working hand in hand with our JMPD to see if they can be able to assists our community to remove or find a place where (foreigners)can be kept together to sell their goods
Most of our community are in need of houses, that are affordable for them, to be able to have homes, for their children and to give them a better education
MATHAPELO MASEMOLA, AFRICAN NATIONAL CONGRESS: I am a 38-year-old I am currently a public servant and a qualified system developer.
I am also a social and gender-based violence activist.
The first issue we have is the lack of road infrastructure in our ward there are too many potholes. Sewage spillage which affects the air we breathe.
Crime, no recreational facilities for our children to pass time. No taxi ranks.
