Police are investigating a murder case after a woman was found dead in her vehicle on the evening of August 11 on the corner of Creigh Street and Allandale Road in Midrand.
The woman, estimated to be between the ages of 28 to 29, was found with a bullet wound to her upper body.
According to Midrand Police Station’s spokesperson Constable Eliot Mabulane, a murder docket had been opened. “The family has been located through the cellphones found in the vehicle of the deceased. The motive of the killing is unknown,” Mabulane said.
The Station Commander, Brigadier Molefi David Tsotsotso urged the community and men to act against gender-based violence.
“People cannot die in this manner and the police will make more effort in addressing such crimes that continue to affect our community,” said Tsotsotso.
