@MyJRA On Allandale Road about 1.1km before the raceway there is a pothole. On 21st Feb (Friday) there was a team to fix it. On 27th Feb (Monday) the same was 2x the size. Will you fix this proper or we will be in traffic coz some idiots cannot do their jobs. PLEASE ATTEND.

The Gauteng MEC for Public Transport and Roads Infrastructure Jacob Mamabolo has announced on 4 March that there is a planned closure of Allandale Road heading towards Kyalami, Midrand in order to conduct road works.
Mamabolo said, “Due to the persistent challenges with the road, the department took a decision to conduct tests and assessments to determine the causes of deterioration.”
He explained that their studies had shown that there is water and rock formation underground which has affected the quality of the road. This is why they have decided to do a complete overhaul of the road.
From 16 March, the road will be closed. The closure is expected to last three months. Motorists have been advised to use alternative routes.
Mamabolo added that they are aware of the inconvenience this will cause, however, the safety of motorists is their main priority.
Motorists and residents responded to the announcement on Twitter with already some roadworks underway in some parts of the road.
Please consider extension of the road to 2 lanes and also a turning lane from kyalami prep onto Allandale

What about all these high density complexes popping up all over Midrand, yet roads remain same size! Sounds like recipe 4 disaster.
