Save money and sell you pre-owned goods at the Midrand Circles Market

GLEN AUSTIN – Midrand Circles Market promotes the selling of second-hand clothes.

Midrand Circles Market has initiated an idea of selling second-hand clothes and other goods by hosting a market called the Car Boot Sale where people set up stalls to sell their materials.

The Car Boot Sale was established in September last year and has been hosting events every second Saturday of the month.

The first market had eight stalls but as time went by the market grew to include 20 stalls as people became more interested in selling their second-hand clothes.

Margaret Melville the founder of the Midrand Circles Market said she came up with the idea to help people sell their unwanted goods instead of throwing them away. “I created the Car Boot Sale to allow people to sell their second-hand goods only. I also felt the need to create something that would attract people and give them a purpose to do something in their free time.”

She added that the market sells second-hand clothes and other smaller things but no furniture, “The market aims to sell second-hand materials only because I am not promoting a business where people can sell new goods and food.”

The most recent sale attracted people from outside Midrand because they all had one goal – to sell second-hand goods.

Melville said her future plans are to continue growing the market and also find ways to attract buyers. “I plan to continue growing the market and I will continue to do so every second Saturday of the month.”

The Midrand Circles Market will be hosting its next Car Boot Sale event on 14 March.
