Midrand police said in a statement that two suspects are arrested following a business robbery at a popular restuarant in Kyalami corner at 12.7pm, 22 February. The suspects were allegedly involved in a car accident trying to flee the scene.
One suspect is injured and has been taken to hospital. There was an eye witness who said he was busy in the office when he saw the armed suspects. They allegedly pointed the firearm at him and instructed him to sit down. “They demanded money from him and then asked him where the safe keys were and told him to open the drawer where they found the safe keys.”
“The suspects tied him up, took a sum of R4320 [estimated] and two cellphones and shortly left the scene. No shots were fired,” said the police
