Blue Hills Primary School welcomes a group of impressive young leaders

MIDRAND – Blue Hills Primary School elected their new prefects and head boy and girl to take charge this year.


Blue Hills Primary School held a ceremony on 7 January where prefects were selected for the school year.

Among the many chosen were the school’s head boy and head girl who will oversee everything concerning their fellow learners at the school.

Newly appointed head boy Mogau Makgonye said that he would ensure that the children of Blue Hills Primary are able to express themselves freely and will get everyone involved in making the school a better place.

“My goal is to leave behind a legacy at BHP, and make sure that I also leave it a little better than the year before.

“Being head boy is a huge pleasure for me and has been a life-long dream. I would like to thank my teachers and the directors for the trust in me and the support.”

Mogau isn’t yet sure what he wants to do when he grows up, he believes the future will lead the way.

Kabelo Ntai who is the new head girl added that she wants to focus on team work in order to improve the school by getting the children involved and allowing them to make suggestions.

“Being head girl means everything to me, it will provide me with the opportunity to leave my mark, and ensure that I excel in the future.

“I dream of one day opening my own school and orphanage so that I can give back to the community.”
